TE MATE-AX Dual Port Breakout Cable to Single MATE-AX and SMA

 

This cable family is built around a TE Connectivity dual-position MATE-AX interface and provides five configurations for automotive electronics development, coaxial signal access, test fixtures, and compact dual-channel interconnection.

 

Unlike the FAKRA-focused variants, this group routes the two coaxial channels to Single MATE-AX female connectors in white or black housings, SMA female connectors, SMA male connectors, or another dual-position MATE-AX interface. The different terminations address both vehicle-side packaging needs and laboratory-side connection requirements.

 

Each channel remains an independent coaxial path. The assembly is intended for physical interconnection and interface adaptation; it does not contain an RF splitter, amplifier, protocol converter, PHY, or active SerDes electronics.

Does Dual MATE-AX to Two SMA Duplicate One Signal?

No, not in a normal two-channel breakout harness.

 

The dual-position MATE-AX connector organizes two coaxial interface positions inside one housing. A typical cable maps them independently:

Channel 2 → Branch 2

 

The SMA branches provide connector access to those individual paths. They do not create two copies of one RF or video signal. If an actual signal split is required, the system needs a suitable RF or active distribution design outside the passive harness.
