The USB Type-B Waterproof Panel Connector is a family of panel-mounted USB Type-B connectors designed for printers, industrial control systems, test instruments, automation equipment, and industrial enclosures.

Unlike a conventional USB cable, these connectors are installed directly on an equipment enclosure or control panel to provide a fixed USB Type-B interface.

Six mechanical configurations are available:

Type 1:

USB Type-B Four-Hole Square Flange Connector with Scalloped Cap

Product 1 features a four-hole square-flange panel-mount structure that secures the USB Type-B female receptacle to the equipment enclosure through four independent mounting points.

A scalloped tethered screw cap provides defined gripping points for convenient manual opening and tightening, while the tether keeps the cap attached when removed.

Compared with round nut-mounted designs, the four-point flange structure is well suited for industrial enclosures, control cabinets, printers, and test instruments with dedicated flange mounting areas. Feedthrough and solder-pin versions are available in black, white, blue, and yellow.

Type 2

USB Type-B Round Panel Connector with Scalloped Cap

Product 2 uses a round panel-mount structure secured by a rear retaining nut. The connector passes through a circular panel cutout and requires no four separate mounting holes, helping simplify the panel layout for suitable equipment.

The USB Type-B female receptacle features a scalloped tethered screw cap with pronounced gripping edges for convenient manual operation. The tether keeps the cap attached when opened.

Its compact round structure is suitable for industrial equipment, printing systems, test instruments, and control devices. Feedthrough and solder-pin versions are available in black, white, blue, and yellow.

Type 3:

USB Type-B Threaded Panel Connector with Hinged Cover

Product 3 combines a threaded panel-mount structure with an integrated hinged protective cover. The cover opens directly for USB access and closes over the USB Type-B female receptacle when the interface is not in use.

Unlike a removable screw cap, the hinged cover remains attached to the connector body, eliminating separate cap storage and simplifying frequent access. This configuration is particularly suitable for industrial equipment requiring regular connection, configuration, testing, debugging, or maintenance.

Product 5 uses a threaded panel-mount structure with a straight-ribbed tethered screw cap. Regular longitudinal ribs create a defined gripping surface and provide a clean, uniform mechanical appearance while allowing convenient manual opening and tightening.

Feedthrough and solder-pin configurations are available: feedthrough versions support interface extension, while solder-pin versions are suitable for PCB integration.

For PCB applications, the PCB footprint, pin assignment, pin spacing, mounting height, and panel-to-PCB distance should be verified for the selected model to ensure proper mechanical and electrical compatibility.

USB Type-B Threaded Panel Connector – Capless

Product 6 retains the USB Type-B threaded panel-mount structure while eliminating the external screw cap or hinged cover. The USB interface remains directly accessible without additional opening or closing steps, while fewer front-side mechanical components help reduce the space required around the connector.

This configuration is suitable for continuously connected USB cables, indoor equipment, protected control cabinets, frequently accessed interfaces, and space-limited systems.
