Customization Options:
Premier Cable offers customized M8 T Splitter solutions, including connector coding, pin configurations, pin assignments, main and branch cable lengths, shielding structures and connector combinations for industrial sensors, servo motors, fieldbus networks and OEM automation equipment.
Technical Note:
The applications listed are for reference. Compatibility depends on equipment pinouts, communication protocols and connector specifications. Standard passive T splitters generally cannot replace active industrial Ethernet network switches.
Core Performance Advantages
- Improved I/O Port Utilization
With proper signal allocation, the splitter allows compatible multi-channel I/O ports to serve two field devices, reducing the need for additional connection modules and improving existing port utilization.
- Reduced Field Wiring Complexity
- Space-Efficient Equipment Integration
How to Choose the Right M8 T Splitter ?
- Connector Compatibility & Electrical Specifications
Verify M8 coding, pin count, connector gender and pin assignments. The standard model features an A-coded 4-pin, 1 male to 2 female design. Check signal allocation, voltage, current and IP67 protection requirements to ensure compatibility and reliable operation.
- Installation Design & OEM Customization
Select a suitable T-splitter configuration based on equipment layout, connector clearance and wiring requirements. Premier Cable offers customized coding, pin counts, connector combinations and pin assignments to support OEM production and industrial automation applications.
Product FAQ
Can One M8 T Splitter Connect Two Sensors ?
Yes, provided the splitter pin assignments and controller port functions are compatible. If both sensors have independent outputs, the controller must support separate input channels. Two sensor outputs should not be directly connected in parallel without a compatible wiring design.
Can an M8 D-Coded T Splitter Be Used for Industrial Ethernet ?
M8 D-coded 4-pin connectors are used in certain industrial Ethernet applications. However, a passive T splitter cannot turn one Ethernet port into two independent network ports. PROFINET, EtherCAT and EtherNet/IP installations require network-compatible connection architectures.
Does the M8 T Splitter Require an External Power Supply ?
A standard passive M8 T splitter does not require a separate power supply. It distributes power or signals according to its internal wiring configuration. However, the combined load must remain within the connector and circuit current ratings.
Do You Support OEM Customization and Bulk Orders ?
Yes. Premier Cable supports custom M8 T splitter development based on customer drawings, connector specifications and wiring requirements, including sample evaluation and bulk manufacturing for industrial automation OEMs.
