Dual Cavity FAKRA Female to Female Cable
Connection Structure: One 59Z115-000Z dual cavity FAKRA female connector connected through two coaxial cables to a second connector of the same reference. Both ends use FAKRA Z Code.
Unique Difference: Both ends retain the integrated dual cavity arrangement. The harness keeps the two connection positions grouped at each equipment interface rather than terminating them as separate single cavity connectors.
Suitable Installation: Connections between corresponding dual cavity male ports inside equipment enclosures, protected vehicle installation areas or laboratory fixtures. Allow access to the housing latch for installation and removal.
Applications & Customer Value
Paired Camera Connections
Systems using a grouped two-channel camera interface need both connections to remain organized during assembly. The harness keeps the pair together, helping technicians install and service the connections as one group.
Equipment Interconnection
Two devices with matching dual cavity ports may require a direct cable link. A matching female to female assembly can reduce the need for intermediate adapters and simplify the connection arrangement.
Development Test Benches
Bench layouts change as instruments and devices are repositioned. Selecting a suitable cable length helps engineers arrange the setup without unnecessary loops or tension at the ports.
Production Fixture Harnesses
Repeated fixture builds benefit from a defined cable specification. Approved lengths, channel mapping and identification labels help maintain consistent wiring across multiple stations.
Product Features
Integrated Dual Cavity Housings
Each 59Z115-000Z housing holds two coaxial connection positions side by side. This provides a grouped mating interface at both ends of the assembly.
Connector Housing Latch Retention Design
The pictured connectors include a top latch for mechanical retention with the corresponding mating housing. The installation must leave sufficient space to engage and release the latch.
Symmetrical Female Terminations
The same connector reference is used at both ends. Although the external interfaces are identical, the required cavity mapping must still be specified in the assembly drawing.
Two Dacar302-4 Coaxial Cables
Supplied material identifies LEONI Dacar302-4 for both paths. Routing should account for bend requirements and support near each connector; numerical limits require cable specifications.
Customization Capabilities
Premier Cable supports:
Connector Customization
Connector type, gender, coding and housing design can be reviewed against the mating equipment drawings. Alternative interfaces require confirmation of cavity spacing, housing fit and latch engagement.
Cable Customization
Cable length, jacket material, shielding and cable structure can be reviewed for the installation. The length measurement method and tolerance can be defined in the approved drawing.
Electrical Customization
Pin assignment, cavity mapping and wiring definition can be documented to match the equipment connection. Circuit configuration, resistance value and power rating requirements can be evaluated where applicable; these are not confirmed functions or ratings of the illustrated assembly.
OEM Manufacturing
Premier Cable supports drawing review, prototype preparation and mass production to an approved specification. Product labels, end identification and packaging can be prepared for installation, stock management and production supply.
Product FAQ
Q1. What does "dual cavity FAKRA" mean?
It describes a connector housing containing two coaxial connection positions. For purchasing, specify the dual cavity interface explicitly so it is not confused with two separate single cavity connectors.
Q2. Can two single FAKRA connectors replace one dual cavity connector?
Not automatically. Individual connector housings may not fit the spacing or retention arrangement of a dual cavity port. Check the complete mating interface drawing before considering a substitution.
Q3. Is this cable compatible with any camera using FAKRA connectors?
No. The camera system must match the connector geometry, gender and coding, as well as the electrical requirements. No specific camera protocol or device compatibility is confirmed by the supplied images.
Q4. Are the 12 m and 15 m versions suitable for every signal system?
No. Listed lengths are ordering options, not a guarantee of system performance. The acceptable length depends on operating frequency, cable loss, connector losses and the equipment's permitted channel budget.
Q5. What is needed to order an OEM version?
Provide the mating connector references, required length and measurement points, cavity mapping, quantity and operating environment. Include any electrical acceptance criteria, identification labels and packaging requirements.
