In zonal and domain-based vehicle architectures, a single ECU block has to handle two jobs at once: multi-gigabit sensor data cameras, radar, LiDAR over H-MTD and DC power low-speed control signals power to sensors, wake lines, GPIOs . Running Ethernet and power through separate connectors means two mated pairs, two panel cut-outs, and two sets of locking latches - wasting ECU real estate and adding weight.

Rosenberger's H-MTD x2 6P hybrid connector solves this by combining: 2 × H-MTD coax channels - each carrying up to 10 Gbps differential Ethernet 10GBASE-T1 multi-gigabit ; 1 × 6-position black power signal block - accepting TE MQS-style power contacts e.g. 928999-1 for DC power, ground and control lines. The result is one mated pair that brings both 10G data and power into a zonal ECU - exactly why this hybrid form factor is appearing on new-generation domain controllers and ADAS computers. Because each H-MTD channel is a 10G-grade shielded differential pair, factory termination on the original GG 2SPEED R 251 cable is required to hold the 100 Ω impedance and 360° shielding that a 10 GbE link depends on.

Whether you are building a zonal domain controller harness, bringing up an ADAS computer on the bench, or replacing a worn hybrid pigtail on a head unit T-Box, this H-MTD x2 6P harness carries two 10G Ethernet channels and your power lines through one connector - pick Config 1 if you need bare H-MTD cores at the device end, or Config 2 for a fully-housed double-ended extension.

Version 1

H-MTD x2 6P Hybrid Female Bare H-MTD Female Cores ×2 Dual-Channel, No Housing

Bullet Points

• Built on original GG 2SPEED R 251 fully-shielded 10G Ethernet cable

• The 6P power block ships empty no terminals crimped ; can be pre-loaded with TE MQS contacts and wires on request

• One end: Rosenberger H-MTD x2 6P hybrid Z-coded female, water blue 99K1HG-1CAZ5-Z - 2 coax channels 6P power block in one housing

• Other end: two bare H-MTD female cores metal inner contacts, no blue plastic housing - dual channel, for board panel custom-housing attachment

Features

• Factory-terminated, 100% per-channel continuity shielding tested before dispatch

• Hybrid housing end brings both 10G data and power into one mated pair at the ECU vehicle side

• 6P block ready for TE MQS power contacts e.g. 928999-1 - tell us your power pinout and we crimp to your drawing

• Bare H-MTD cores are the field-replaceable inner contact set - ideal when your device side already has its own panel housing, or for bench board-level breakout where no plastic shell is needed

Version 2

H-MTD x2 6P Hybrid Female on Both Ends Double-Ended

Bullet Points

• Bridges two hybrid-housing panels ECUs in one certified, pre-tested assembly

• Both ends are Rosenberger H-MTD x2 6P hybrid Z-coded female, water blue 99K1HG-1CAZ5-Z

• Two independent 10G Ethernet channels a 6P power block on each end, assembled in one harness

• Original GG 2SPEED R 251 fully-shielded 10G cable

Features

• Fully housed on both ends  no bare cores, no field crimping

• Water-blue Z-key housing is visually self-checking during service

• Full 360° shielding continuity from hybrid shell to hybrid shell for EMC-critical zonal ECU compartments

• One mated pair on each side carries both dual 10G data and power replaces 4 separate cables 2 coax 2 power leads

Applications

Application How It Is Used What It Enables
ADAS domain computer bench bring-up Plug the hybrid housing into the ECU on the bench; bare H-MTD cores Config 1 mate directly to test fixtures panel sockets. No custom breakout board needed for bench validation.
Head unit T-Box hybrid pigtail replacement Replace a worn or damaged H-MTD x2 6P factory pigtail on a head unit, telematics box or gateway Config 2 . OEM-form-factor replacement that keeps 10G signal integrity intact.
6P power feed to a remote sensor Use the 6-position block to carry sensor 12V power, ground and wake lines alongside the two H-MTD data channels. Power and high-speed data in one routed cable - no separate power pigtail.
Zonal domain controller harness One hybrid connector on the ECU brings 2 × 10G Ethernet DC power to a remote sensor camera node Config 2 . One mated pair instead of four - smaller I O, lighter harness, fewer failure points.
Custom housing retrofit projects Config 1 bare cores let integrators seat the H-MTD contacts into their own custom panel enclosure. Full flexibility for non-standard mechanical integration without sacrificing contact quality.

Closing line: Because the two H-MTD coax channels and the 6P power block are factory-terminated as one assembly, your zonal ECU gets dual 10G data and DC power through a single connector - and the water-blue Z-key housing makes every mating visually self-checking.

Product FAQ

Q1: Does the 6P power block come with terminals and wires?

By default, the 6P block ships as an empty black core - no terminals crimped, no wires inserted, so you can load your own MQS contacts. If you send us your power pinout, we can pre-crimp TE MQS terminals e.g. 928999-1 and dress the wires to your requirement at extra cost  please mention this in the order notes.

Q2: Which length should I order?

0.5 m for bench-to-device jumpers; 1 m–1.5 m for in-cabin ECU-to-sensor runs; 2 m–5 m for zonal ECU to door trunk under-hood routing. When in doubt, take the next length up - excess can be coiled neatly, but a harness that is too short cannot be extended in the field. Custom lengths and 6P pinouts are quoted on request.

Q3: Is this a genuine Rosenberger H-MTD connector?

Yes. The hybrid housing is genuine Rosenberger HDCS 99K1HG-1CAZ5-Z - H-MTD x2 dual coax channels 6P power block, Z-coded, water blue, female, non-waterproof. The cable is original GG 2SPEED R 251 10G shielded automotive Ethernet wire.

Q4 :What is the difference between Config 1 and Config 2?

Config 1: one end is the full water-blue H-MTD x2 6P hybrid housing; the other end is two bare H-MTD female cores no blue plastic shell - for bench board custom-housing attachment.

Config 2: the water-blue hybrid housing 99K1HG-1CAZ5-Z is on both ends - a fully double-ended extension between two panels ECUs.
