TE GEMnet 10G Automotive Ethernet Cable

This harness is a female to female extension of the TE GEMnet quad port connector, the same black 4 cavity housing used on zonal and domain controllers.

One end is keyed with a red release latch and the other with a purple release latch, so that when the harness is installed in a vehicle the technician can tell which end goes to the body bulkhead and which goes to the ECU without reading a label.

Both ends carry four independent 10 Gigabit Ethernet channels, and the gold plated contacts inside each cavity mate directly to the corresponding contacts on a factory GEMnet male pigtail or panel receptacle.

The cable is GG 2SPEED R 251, a fully shielded 10G twisted pair line with a round black jacket, sized to preserve the 100 ohm differential impedance on all four channels end to end.
