Zonal vehicle architectures push four gigabit Ethernet channels out of one MATEnet 4 port connector. The A coded version uses a black housing that locks into a specific ECU or panel port, keyed so it cannot mate to a Z coded receptacle by mistake. Running four separate channels out of a 4 port housing requires a factory made fan out harness, because hand built splitters fail the 100 ohm impedance and 360 degree shielding tests. This harness is that factory fan out. The 4 port A coded female, 2394102-1, mates to the factory MATEnet 4 port A coded male pigtail. The cable fans out to four single port connectors, either female or male, depending on configuration. The cable is original LEONI Dacar 647-4, a gigabit shielded line built to hold 100 ohm differential impedance on all four channels.

Genuine TE MATEnet 4 port A coded female connector, part number 2394102-1, black housing with four cable tails, factory fanned out to four single port connectors or extended to another 4 port female on original LEONI Dacar 647-4 fully shielded gigabit automotive Ethernet cable. The 4 port A coded female end carries four independent gigabit Ethernet channels. The four fan out ends are offered as MATEnet single port female, MATEnet single port male, or 4 port A coded female on both ends. Available in 4 lengths from 0.5 m to 3 m. Built for zonal architectures that must break one MATEnet 4 port connector out to four devices.

Whether you are breaking a MATEnet 4 port A coded port out to four single port sensors, or extending a 4 port to 4 port link, this harness has the fan out you need. Pick the configuration that matches the connectors on the other end.

Version 1

Quad Port A Coded to Quad Port A Coded

One end is the MATEnet 4 port A coded female, 2394102-1, and the other end is the MATEnet 4 port A coded female, 2324102-1, both black housing.Use it as a 4 port to 4 port extension when a factory MATEnet 4 port A coded male pigtail is too short, or when bridging two 4 port A coded male panel receptacles.

The female to female gender keeps both factory pigtails unchanged, and the Dacar 647-4 shielded cable keeps all four gigabit channels clean. The 0.5 m to 3 m range covers tight ECU jumps to full trunk runs.

Version 2

Quad Port A Coded to 4x Single Port Z Coded

The 4 port A coded female end plugs into a MATEnet 4 port A coded male pigtail, and the cable fans out to four MATEnet single port Z coded female receptacles, part number 2302510-9, water blue.

Use it when the four gigabit channels need to reach four separate single port female devices, such as four cameras or four radar sensors. Each single port female accepts a standard MATEnet male pigtail. The 0.5 m to 3 m length range covers dashboard to sensor and trunk routing.

Version 3

Quad Port A Coded to 4x Single Port Z Coded

The 4 port A coded female end plugs into a MATEnet 4 port A coded male pigtail, and the cable fans out to four MATEnet single port Z coded male plugs, part number 2302461-9, water blue.

Use it when the four devices on the other end have MATEnet female sockets, such as four female ended cameras or test jigs. Each single port male plugs directly into a female socket without an adapter. The 0.5 m to 3 m lengths cover sensor to ECU and bench test routing.

Applications

Application How It Is Used What It Enables

Sensor

aggregation

Bring four Ethernet cameras together to one zonal ECU. One certified harness instead of four loose jumpers.

Zonal controller

fan out

Break the 4 port A coded female out to four single port sensors. Four gigabit channels reach four devices from one ECU port.
4 port to 4 port extension Extend a factory MATEnet 4 port pigtail with female to female. Reaches a relocated ECU without cutting the factory harness.

Bench

test rig

Wire MATEnet 4 port ECUs to four single port test instruments. Repeatable gigabit test links instead of four hand built cables.

Closing line: because all four channels run through factory terminated MATEnet connectors on the same shielded Dacar 647-4 cable, the gigabit links stay impedance matched end to end.

Product FAQ

Q1: What is the difference between the three configurations?

Config 1 is 4 port A coded female to 4 port A coded female for extension. Config 2 fans out to four MATEnet single port females. Config 3 fans out to four MATEnet single port males.

Q2: Is this a genuine TE MATEnet connector?

Yes. The 4 port A coded female housing is genuine TE MATEnet, part number 2394102-1, black housing. The cable is original LEONI Dacar 647-4 fully shielded gigabit automotive Ethernet.

Q3: Can you make custom lengths or fan out combinations?

Yes. We support custom lengths from 0.5 m to 3 m and beyond, and can quote other MATEnet gender and coding combinations on request. Send us your connector photos and target length, and we will quote the matching assembly.

Q4: What is the difference between A coded and Z coded?

The A coded version uses a black housing and is keyed so it cannot mate to a Z coded receptacle. The Z coded version uses a water blue housing. The 4 port main end is A coded black, and the single port fan out ends are Z coded water blue.
