IDC (Insulation Displacement Connector) cable is mainly used for internal device connection and interface expansion in PC motherboard expansion card, with high density and reliable contact characteristics.

Main application scenarios

1. USB interface expansion: Through the 19/20-pin IDC interface, the motherboard USB 3.0 head is split into multiple interfaces (such as front panel USB expansion), supporting 5Gbps transmission, and some require external 5V auxiliary power supply.

2. Traditional IDE/PATA device connection: 40/80-pin IDC ribbon cable is used to connect old IDE hard disk or optical drive, supports 133MB/s transmission, and a single line can connect master/slave two devices.

3. GPIO and debugging interface: 10-pin IDC line (2.54mm pitch) connects debugging tools (such as I2C/SPI adapter), supporting high-speed signal transmission (such as SPI 8MHz).
