Waterproof FAKRA Extension for Space-Constrained Installations
PCM-ZC-0179 is a single-channel FAKRA Z-code jack-to-plug extension cable designed for automotive coaxial connections requiring a sealed interface and controlled cable routing.
The assembly combines a Rosenberger 59K2LK-102A4-Z angled waterproof jack with a 59Z176-C01-Z FAKRA plug and LEONI DACAR 462 50-ohm coaxial cable.
Left-Angle Cable Exit for Cleaner Routing
The 59K2LK-102A4-Z uses an angled connector construction with the cable exiting to the left relative to the defined connector orientation. This allows the coaxial cable to turn immediately after the FAKRA connection instead of extending straight behind the mating device.
The design can be useful behind vehicle modules, displays, antenna units or other components where rear clearance is restricted and a tighter cable routing path is required.
Jack-to-Plug FAKRA Interface
Unlike FAKRA cables using identical connector orientations on both ends, PCM-ZC-0179 provides a direct transition from a FAKRA jack to a FAKRA plug.
This makes the cable suitable as an extension or adapter between components whose existing FAKRA mating interfaces require opposite connector genders while retaining the same Z coding.
