Studio Axia Console Cables, StudioHub RJ45 Breakouts & Audio Snakes

Audio breakout and interconnect cable assemblies for broadcast studios, radio consoles, audio nodes, studio routing systems, control rooms, recording equipment and professional audio installations. This collection includes RJ45-to-dual-XLR cables, RJ45-to-TRS and RCA audio breakouts, StudioHub-style analog I/O assemblies, DB25-to-XLR or TRS multi-channel snakes, AES/EBU DB25 breakouts, DB9 audio interface cables and custom studio-console harnesses.

Choose by the complete source-port and destination-port requirement: equipment brand and model, port label and function, verified RJ45 audio wiring standard, analog or digital signal type, balanced or unbalanced circuit, channel count, output or input direction, connector gender, exact pinout, shield connection, cable length and installation route. An RJ45 connector is only a physical connector format; it does not automatically mean Ethernet, Livewire+, AES3, StudioHub analog audio, DMX, Dante, GPIO or a universal console interface.

Selection note: A passive RJ45-to-XLR, RJ45-to-TRS or RJ45-to-RCA cable only routes the conductors assigned by the source and destination equipment. It does not convert an Ethernet or Livewire+ network port into analog audio, convert Dante / AES67 / Art-Net / sACN data into XLR audio, provide an audio interface, change a balanced signal into a correctly wired unbalanced signal, or create microphone phantom power. Select a breakout cable only when the equipment documentation confirms a compatible RJ45 audio port and the complete pinout is known.

How to Select the Right Axia or StudioHub Audio Breakout Cable

Studio-console cable selection is an end-to-end audio-interface check. This collection includes compatible RJ45 audio breakouts for XLR, TRS and RCA equipment, as well as DB25 and DB9 studio snakes for specified multi-channel applications. The correct cable must match the port function, cable wiring, signal format, channel order, connector genders and source-to-destination direction—not simply the visible connector type.

Application Typical Cable Role Confirm Before Ordering
StudioHub-style analog I/O to XLR equipment RJ45 audio breakout cable connecting a compatible analog I/O port to one or two balanced XLR inputs or outputs. Actual RJ45 audio-port function, input or output direction, XLR gender, channel mapping, balanced pinout, shield arrangement, line or mic application and cable length.
StudioHub-style analog I/O to TRS or RCA equipment RJ45 breakout that routes a documented one- or two-channel audio connection to 6.35 mm TRS, 3.5 mm TRS or RCA equipment interfaces. Balanced versus unbalanced requirement, signal direction, channel order, TRS/RCA connector gender, source and destination levels, wiring map, shield connection and destination equipment interface.
DB25 multi-channel analog or AES/EBU connection Multi-channel snake or digital-audio breakout linking a DB25-equipped studio device to XLR, TRS or another confirmed audio interface. Analog or AES/EBU role, original device pinout convention, connector genders, number of channels or digital pairs, input/output direction, channel labeling, shield design and cable length.
Livewire+ / AES67 or Ethernet network connection A network connection between compatible network ports, switches and audio-over-IP equipment—not a passive RJ45-to-XLR or RJ45-to-TRS breakout. Network-port labeling, required network architecture, cable category, switch/system requirement, audio-network protocol and equipment documentation. Do not use a passive audio breakout on a network port.
Microphone or phantom-powered connection A documented microphone or analog-audio input connection only when the device port and cable wiring are specified for that purpose. Confirmed microphone-capable port, required phantom-power behavior, cable pinout, XLR gender, equipment manual, grounding/shield arrangement and whether a standard line-level breakout is appropriate.

Common Studio Console Cable Formats in This Collection

RJ45 to Dual XLR Breakout Cables

Used for compatible RJ45 analog audio ports that carry two balanced channels through a defined StudioHub-style wiring arrangement. Select the XLR male or female breakout by the connected equipment port and verify whether the RJ45 side is an input or output connection before ordering.

RJ45 to TRS, 3.5 mm & RCA Audio Breakouts

Used where a confirmed RJ45 audio interface needs to connect to balanced TRS, compact 3.5 mm audio or unbalanced RCA equipment. Verify the destination signal format and wiring first; connector type alone does not prove that a balanced or unbalanced audio path is correctly configured.

DB25, DB9 & Multi-Channel Audio Snakes

Used for specified studio interfaces that need multiple analog channels, AES/EBU digital pairs or defined control/audio wiring. A DB25 or DB9 connector is not a universal pro-audio standard, so confirm the equipment’s pinout convention, channel order, connector genders and signal role before selecting a cable.

RJ45 is not a universal audio or network signal. In broadcast equipment, an RJ45 connector may be used for StudioHub-style analog audio, AES3, Livewire+ / AES67 networking, GPIO, control, Ethernet management or another manufacturer-specific function. A passive RJ45 breakout cable is correct only when the source port and destination interface use a documented matching wiring scheme. Do not connect a passive XLR, TRS or RCA breakout to an RJ45 network port based only on the physical connector shape.

Information Needed for a Custom Studio Console Cable

For a compatible custom Axia, StudioHub or professional studio cable assembly, provide as much of the following information as possible:

Console, node, router, interface or audio-device brand and model Port label, original cable part number, cable marking or equipment manual reference Photos of both mating faces, port labels and connector genders RJ45, XLR, TRS, RCA, DB25 or DB9 interface at each end Verified pinout, channel order, signal direction and shield requirement Analog, AES3, mic, line, control or network-port function Balanced / unbalanced requirement, channel count and breakout connector genders Required cable length, breakout tail length, labeling, jacket and installation route

FAQ

Can an RJ45-to-XLR cable connect a Livewire+ or Ethernet network port to analog audio equipment?

No. A passive RJ45-to-XLR cable only routes conductors; it does not decode audio-over-IP data or convert Ethernet into analog audio. Use it only with a documented compatible RJ45 audio I/O port and the correct wiring arrangement.

Are all RJ45 ports on Axia or broadcast equipment StudioHub audio ports?

No. RJ45 can be used for several different functions, including analog audio, digital audio, network audio, Ethernet management, GPIO or other control connections. Check the printed port label and the equipment manual before selecting any breakout cable.

Can I use a general RJ45 audio breakout cable for a microphone input with phantom power?

Only when the specific equipment port, cable wiring and microphone connection are documented for that purpose. A line-level breakout cable should not be assumed to provide a correct microphone or phantom-power connection.

Are RJ45-to-XLR, RJ45-to-TRS and RJ45-to-RCA cables interchangeable?

No. They may serve different balanced or unbalanced signal paths, channel counts, connector genders and equipment pinouts. Confirm the source port, destination port and complete wiring before choosing a cable.

Can any DB25 cable be used for analog studio audio or AES/EBU?

No. DB25 cabling can follow different pinout conventions and may carry analog channels, digital AES/EBU pairs or other equipment-specific signals. Verify the original device wiring, channel order and connector genders before selecting a replacement or breakout snake.
