Terminal resistors include network port resistor adapters, such as 8P8C and 4P4C terminal resistors. They are also suitable for DMX lighting systems.

1. 8P8C (RJ45) interface terminal resistor

Two common standards for pin configuration:

    Single resistor 1U: resistor connected to Pin 1 and Pin 2.

    Dual resistor 2U: resistor connected to Pin 3 & 6, Pin 4 & 5.

2. 4P4C (RJ9/RJ10/RJ11) interface terminal resistor

 

Pin configuration: The terminal resistor is connected across the data line pair (usually the middle two pins), and the resistor is connected to Pin 2 and Pin 3.

Installing a 4P4C/8P8C terminator at the end of the DMX512 network (the last device) can simulate the "infinite cable" state, prevent the signal from reflecting due to impedance mismatch at the end, and avoid hidden problems such as data errors, device flickering or communication interruption. It ensures the integrity of the DMX signal and the stability of the system, and is suitable for professional stage lighting, architectural lighting and other scenes.
