The Dual Port VHDCI 68 to 2-Way HPDB cable is an adapter cable featuring a high-density VHDCI 68-pin male connector on one end that splits into two HPDB68 interfaces on the other; it is primarily designed for cabling connections between server RAID cards and multiple high-speed SCSI peripherals.
Internally, the cable utilizes 34 pairs of 30AWG tinned copper conductors and a dual-layer shielding structure-combining copper braiding with aluminum foil-to effectively resist electromagnetic interference and ensure data transmission integrity. A key design feature is the use of offset backshells on the VHDCI end, which allows two VHDCI connectors to be mounted side-by-side in tight spaces, thereby saving valuable panel real estate. The PCM-S-0772 supports high-speed SCSI protocols such as U3W, making it suitable for applications requiring high-density interconnects-such as disk arrays and data storage systems-and is available with customizable cable lengths.
